Solulink Expands Conjugation Chemistry Portfolio; Issued
Patent for Hydrazine-Based and Carbonyl-Based Bifunctional Cross
Linking Reagents.

Diego, California, October 20, 2004 - Solulink, Inc., innovator and developer of novel biomolecular
conjugation chemistries, today announced that the U.S.Patent
& Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent number. 6,800,728
"Hydrazine-Based and Carbonyl-Based Bifunctional Cross Linking
Reagents."
The patent further strengthens Solulink's position as a leader
in conjugation chemistry, including their use and development.
The conjugation of biomolcules including proteins, DNA, antibodies
and peptides to one another and to solid surfaces is a critical
component for many pharmaceuticals, clinical lab tests, biomedical
research assays and arrays. US Patent number 6,800,728 covers
composition of matter and use of this new type of a group of
bioconjugation linkers that incorporate Solulink's hydrazine/carbonyl
conjugation technology for the conjugation of all type of biomolcules
while retaining their inherent biological activity. The
new conjugation technology has proven to be much easier to use,
more stable and significantly more cost effective as it requires
fewer steps to use than existing technology. Together with Solulink's
other patents and licenses provides broad rights over this conjugation
technology. The technology is being commercialized by Solulink
in its own products as the HydraLink conjugation system and
is in products sold by others.
